Professor Zofia Janas studied chemistry at the University of Wroclaw (Poland), where she received all of her degrees. Her scientific work is focused on the chemical models of the active site of nitrogenases and on the synthesis, structure and reactivity of organometallic and transistion metal complexes - precursors for olefin polymerization. Prof. Janas has been a visiting researcher at the Nitrogen Fixation Laboratory at the University of Sussex (UK).
